The Future of Farming Isn't a Dashboard. It's a Conversation.
India AI Impact Summit 2026 — France Pavilion Panel
Just wrapped up an inspiring panel at the France Pavilion of the India AI Impact Summit 2026. We discussed autonomous robotics and resilient supply chains, but the most critical consensus wasn't about the technology itself—it was about the human element.
The Interface is the Barrier. In emerging economies like India (and frankly, everywhere), farmers don't need more complex screens. They need Voice AI and Edge AI. We are on the verge of a shift where a farmer can simply ask their phone, in their local dialect, "Is my soil healthy today?" and get an instant, reliable answer—processed locally on the device, without necessarily needing 5G in the middle of a field. This is how we democratize precision agriculture.
Collaboration Over Competition. No single startup, company or institution can solve the food system crisis alone. At Brad Technology, as a proud member of La Ferme Digitale and OSFARM, we champion this collaborative mindset. Through programs like Interreg Agrobotics-DiTwins, we are proving that Digital Twins and robotics only work when we share standards. When the robot, the sensor, and the satellite "talk" to each other, the farmer wins.
Solvency Before Sustainability. We agreed on one hard truth: we can't talk about green farming if the farmer is in the red. The food industry must integrate more seamlessly to finance these solutions. We need to ensure that adoption improves revenue immediately, not just in a theoretical future. "You can't be green if you're in the red."
Thank you to my fellow panelists Christophe Aubé (Agreenculture), Jean-Marc Leclercq (Soufflet Malt), and Ashima Seth (Godrej Agrovet Limited) and our moderator Nidhi Batra (AFD — Agence Française de Développement) for the candid debate.
